On November 19, 2024, the University of Oulu will host the third Arctic AI Days at Lasaretti, held alongside The ACM 14th International Conference on the Internet of Things (IoT2024). This year’s theme, “Towards Transparent AI,” will focus on designing AI systems that are understandable, explainable, and accountable. The event encourages collaboration to build AI that fosters trust, accountability, and alignment with human values.

Keynote speakers:

Associate Professor Myrthe Tielman (Delft University of Technology) will discuss the role of trust and mutual understanding in AI systems, highlighting the importance of transparent, explainable AI in aligning with human values.

Teemu Vidgren, Chief Operating Officer at Microsoft Finland, will offer insights into Microsoft’s approach to AI integration and the need for transparency and ethical considerations in AI technology.
