Dr. Ilaria Tiddi
I am an assistant professor (UD) at the Knowledge Representation & Reasoning group at the Computer Science department of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU), currently also doing a visiting period at the Interactive Intelligence group of TU Delft. In my research, I focus on using symbolic AI techniques (knowledge representation, management and reasoning, i.e. knowledge graphs) at large scale to help an intelligent system to automatically generate decisions that are more transparent and human-understandable. I mostly apply this to tackle challenges in the e-Science and robotics domains.
