Lise Stork

I am an assistant professor at the Intelligent Data Engineering Lab (INDELab) at the University of Amsterdam. I am interested in facilitating scientific discovery by creating knowledge systems that can help researchers in making their data and research more FAIR. I work mostly in specific application domains, as real-world data is complex (i.e., heterogeneous, fuzzy) and understanding the intricacies requires domain knowledge. I see this dialogue between domain experts, engineers (and AI) as a common bottleneck in the uptake of knowledge systems, and see this as an interesting challenge for the HI consortium given its HI requirements.
