Pei-Yu Chen
I am a PhD student at TU Delft under supervision by Myrthe Tielman, Birna van Riemsdijk (UT), Catholijn Jonker, and Dirk Heylen (UT). The overarching goal of my research project is to realize behavior support agents that can continuously provide support that is in alignment with what users need or want. Specifically, we propose to achieve this with alignment dialogues: dialogues with which the agent and/or the user try to achieve or maintain alignment. We investigate how such dialogues should look like, how to model them, what (self-conscious) emotions are involved, and how can an alignment dialogue elicit needed in-depth personal information (such as values) from the user, etc.
